Celebrated my son’s 21st birthday there and it was truly the best time! The staff was very accommodating and Chip (our bartender) was patient and attentive in fulfilling all of our party’s drink orders. Shout out to Amber for helping make our group feel at home! Go to Slim’s for a chill, classic dive bar experience.

It's your friendly neighborhood dive bar! Great back patio area, pool and pinball upstairs. Thor's trivia on Monday evening is fantastic! The staff is amazing! Thanks Chris, Chip, and Nate for always making me feel like family! ❤️

Great dive bar in the heart of down town. I love the upper floor with the pool table and pinball machine... Back smoking patio is great as well... Bar staff and patrons were friendly.. gonna make sure I stop into Slim's Everytime I'm in Raleigh!

I hate using the word “dive” for a bar like Slims. Yes it’s dark. Yes it looks a little run down. No you’re not likely to see too many lawyers in suits and you’re not going to get any craft cocktails here. But what you do get is friendly service with generous pours of quality well liquors at very good prices. And sometimes you get live music in very intimate settings. I’m a fan.

Amazing service, great music, and an incredible patio in a cool location! A local band was playing, adding to the fun vibe. The staff even helped me find a great pizza spot nearby—so glad I came back!

I love Malort; I search it out in every city I travel to. This place has A LOT OF IT, and I love that. I was very happy that Slim’s serves Malort.

I was drunk and ready to end it all when I saw that beautiful golden flag hanging in the window. I stumbled in and was almost kicked out but the bar tender took one look at me and knew exactly why I was there and what I needed. He poured me a double of that arduous elixir and I was transport back to the days of prohibition and my Chicago roots. Ever since then my life has been exactly the same but now I know where I can go for a glass of Malört.

Fun double floor bar with an edgy vibe. They have great drinks at great prices. This bar is over 25 years old and Raleighs oldest music venue. There is a pool table and pinball games upstairs, smoking outdoors, and dogs are allowed. There's a parking deck right beside the bar with 2 hour free parking. Made for a fun way to kick off our Saturday.

Went there to experience their live music lineup, was lucky enough to find a great vantage point. Quaint little spot (I didn't explore the upstairs or "back" portions), the bands made do with a tight stage. Everyone there, from the bartenders, guests and musicians were very friendly, loved the atmosphere. Definitely will be returning for a future evening of music.
